Automation and innovation for quality die casting

Zamak die casting is our core business

Our Zamak die-casting foundry, located in Brescia, is equipped with 12 fully automated hot chamber presses from 90 to 200 tons, drum-type riser remover for smaller parts and anthropomorphic robots combined with control systems, inline sheares and automatic evacuators for larger and more delicate parts.

All machines are equipped with the most advanced PLC and quality control systems able to guarantee a high quality of the die casting. The intrinsic technologies of the machinery used, combined with specific equipment such as thermoregulation units and vacuum moulding systems, allow a greater stability of temperature and pressure and a reduction of cavitation improving the quality of products.

Our production islands can be designed ad hoc for specific products that require vision systems for 100% quality control in line or mechanical recovery and surface finishing operations of the parts directly out of the mould.

The foundry operates on two working shifts to guarantee a production capacity, on average, of 300,000 parts per day, all in the maximum respect and control of the moulding parameters and following the strictest qualitative procedures.

At Nuova Framar we strongly believe in innovation and process automation: through the implementation of advanced and patented technologies, we are able to optimize our operations, improve efficiency and ensure high quality standards. This allows us to offer our customers the best quality/price ratio on the market, as well as ensuring flexibility and speed in production, responding promptly to their requests.

Removing excess zamak casting (riser)

In Nuova Framar, the continuous drive towards automation has enabled us to develop innovative methods for removing die casting riser. In addition to complete islands of robot and riser remover shear, automatic removing die casting riser systems have been developed and patented, which takes place directly during the extraction of the mould, completed by the subsequent automatic unloading of the parts.

Vacuum Zamak die casting

Vacuum Zamak die casting is a production process that involves the elimination of air during the casting process with the aim of optimizing the filling of the mould and improving the metallurgical characteristics of the casting.

It is a technology that, by evacuating the air from the mould in a controlled manner, allows the production of components with fewer production limits and a higher final quality. It is mainly used for those parts that require high precision and the minimization of porosities such as those intended for the gas and automotive sector or that, in general, must withstand cyclic stresses and breaking loads.
