Our zinc die casting company has developed a customized solution for a customer in the automotive sector with specific needs in the production of an insert intended for the automatic trunk lifter. This project represented an example of innovation and customization in the field of precision die casting.
To meet the customer’s technical and quality requirements, we designed and built a fully automated workstation dedicated to the production of the zinc component, ensuring its compliance.

This workstation includes:

  • Zinc die casting machine
  • Automatic deburring machine
  • Shaving: the system is connected to a machine that shaves the component’s diameter, preparing it for the O-ring application.
  • Integrated quality control

Zinc component for automotive trunk lifter: quality and precision without compromise

To ensure the highest quality production, the zinc component for the automatic trunk lifter is subject to several accurate in-line and off-line checks.

In particular, the 100% inline inspection includes:

  • Verification of burr presence on the O-ring zone
  • Check for breaks and burrs in the cable pass hole area
  • General defects inspection

While the offline/statistical check includes:

  • Verification of dimensional measurements and monitoring of Cpk (Process Capability)
  • Specific tensile test to verify resistance to a force of 4,000 N

Thanks to this customized solution and our experience in zinc die casting, we are able to support automotive customers with products that meet the highest quality standards, while also ensuring production flexibility and technological innovation.
